| 38,000-pound electric motor This 19-ton motor was moved using a series of specialized rigging maneuvers, which required removal from its original location, transporting 110 feet, horizontally, then lowering 200 feet, through a small opening to the turbine room floor below.

 | Boiler Project Fenton trucked this 45-ton boiler system, featuring an economizer, silencer and ducting, to an opening in the boiler house. Our crew then used a crane and dollies to roll the boiler off the trailer and into place.

 | Mixing Pipe Skid Move & Installation A large skid (12'x12'x60') was moved by Fenton from the fabricators’ shop, transported to its destination, then moved into the facility for which it was built. Due to its extreme size, Fenton devised special lifting techniques to assure the skid would not bow or torque in any way.

 | Air-Dolly Press Move A specialized air dolly, which works much like a hover craft, was used in this application to move a heavy press over flooring that otherwise might not have supported a “direct-weight” move.
